Human Community
I am a romantic. I LOVE stories of people who found freedom and independence off-the-grid. But I’m also a realist. There isn’t really such a thing as a total independence, even off-the-grid.
For better or worse, we are in it together. We all depend on air, water, healthcare, technology, government and other people and just like the Earth, we too are fragile.
– Conserving the Earth isn’t a choice; it’s our only hope.
– In times of nuclear weapons (that not only kill people but have the power to destroy the Earth) peaceful co-existence isn’t a choice, either.
– On every level (illegal immigration included!), observing human rights is an absolute must. (We are all human. Christians worship one specific Mother and her Child. Tearing families apart – for instance – can never be considered humane, leave alone: acceptable.)
– In a society, we have to strive for social and economic justice as well as for equal access to healthcare and education. No one is born less than; no one should live as less than. Every life is precious: one newborn isn’t more precious than another.
