Earth

The Earth is the ultimate natural resource. We exploited the Earth without foresight for a long time and continue to do that knowing that our collective and individual actions contribute to – and accelerate! – the destruction of the Earth and ultimately the demise of all life upon it.

A lot is destroyed already. Air pollution, water contamination, ozone layer damage, drastic rain forest reduction, extinction of some species, catastrophic weather events, global warming, trash overload, climate change are no longer buzzwords but facts. The Earth’s and Earthlings’ state of emergency is already in effect. Radical and FAST changes must be made by governments and consumers.

We must, ASAP:

1/ conserve what is

2/ prevent further environmental damage and decline

3/ replace fossil fuels with less damaging alternative fuels

4/ pursue conservation-focused technologies

5/ heal and restore natural environment

6/ change our thinking and shopping habits

Consumers drive demand! Don’t buy disposable or one-time use items. Don’t support fossil fuels. Avoid plastic containers and packaging: refills create less trash. Think: slow fashion. Quality and style serve you. Fashion serves industries that are damaging the ecosystem.

Think about trash! Most people don’t. The trash in times of “Bonanza” or “Little House On The Prairie” was totally biodegradable, a non-issue. Ours isn’t.
We are drowning in non-biodegradable trash. Even the most pristine areas of the world are visibly – or worse, invisibly – overrun by trash! Do your best not to contribute to it!

It’s up to governments and each of us to conserve what is and limit our carbon footprint.
