Constructive vs Destructive
Immigration. Illegal immigrants among us. Criminals! The threat of our race being overwhelmed by other ethnicities. Loss of American jobs. Wow, it sounds scary. Deport them all, ASAP!
Now, let’s cool it for a moment and explore the constructive vs destructive solutions.
• These very illegal aliens contributed to the United States in terms of labor and tax revenue.
• These very illegal aliens work for low wages in industries that support the nation: agriculture, construction, hospitality, etc. (These are jobs no Americans are fighting for.)
• These very illegal aliens keep many American industries booming.
• These very illegal aliens keep our prices affordable.
• These very illegal aliens have an extremely low crime rate, significantly lower than that of Americans.
• These very illegal aliens have American families.
Should borders be secure? Yes! Mass deportations and shredding of industries, the economy, and family units? Who will benefit? Our principles?
The cost of deporting millions is not just the immediate, direct cost. The cost has to be calculated by including entire industries, the economy, American families, and mass public resentment of the current policy. The cost would be devastating to us all.
If – on another hand – the borders were secured, immigration law tightened, and a path to legalization laid out for those already here…. Well, that would cause a tectonic shift. American industries, tax revenue, economy, and families would grow stronger, not to mention the good will, gratitude, and passionate support for the current government from the millions of previously illegal aliens.
Make America better? Don’t discard. Make constructive changes that benefit all.
